Kory's Story

Anderson Industries LLC was founded in 2006 by Kory Anderson. The company initially specialized in on-site repair of heavy equipment, performing welding and machining repair work primarily for the construction industry. In 2008, operating out of his garage in Andover, SD, Kory expanded the company into the foundry and iron casting industry by taking on the manufacturing of foundry patterns and tooling. Quickly outgrowing the garage shop in Andover, the company moved to its present location in Aberdeen, SD in 2009.

In early 2009, new CNC machines, welders, and fabrication equipment were installed to further expand into the metal fabrication and production machining industry. Rapidly growing the company throughout 2009, Kory purchased the product lines of the Anderson machine Company founded by his father, Kevin Anderson.

These lines included the internationally marketed Anderson Opener as well as the Anderson Torpedo Hitch and Disc Leveling System. In the early 1980's, Kevin Anderson developed the Anderson Opener, which made the planting of wheat and other grains a one-pass process. The Anderson Opener was the first opener of its kind to place seed and fertilizer in a precise method to maximize crop yields and lower fertilizer and input costs. Utilizing twin row technology and the deep banding of fertilizer, the Anderson Opener revolutionized the planting of small grains.

Anderson Industries' diversified manufacturing knowledge base allows them to work with various customers and provide solutions in welding, fabrication, machining, and iron casting. This wide base of knowledge allows them to provide cost-saving solutions and manufacture products of the highest quality.
